Patients & Clinic
The Clinic modules give a small practice everything to see patients and bill for a visit: patient records with an auto-numbered file, encounters that capture vitals, diagnosis and a prescription, a roster of practitioners, a day calendar of appointments, and simple patient invoices. Patients and appointments are two pages that share the same records, so a patient booked on the calendar is the same record you open to write up the visit and raise the bill.
The Clinic keeps its own records per company and persists them as you work, so it is usable on its own. Load sample buttons seed a few patients and practitioners to explore with. Medicines on a prescription are recorded as free text on the encounter; the stock you dispense is managed in Items and inventory.
Patients
Open Patients from the sidebar, or go to /patients. The breadcrumb reads Clinic · Patients, the title is Patients and the subtitle is Patient records, contact details and encounter history. A search box filters by name, phone, file number or nationality; New patient and Load sample sit in the header.
| Tile | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Total patients | Patients on file. |
| New this month | Patients added in the current month. |
| Unpaid invoices | Patient invoices still unpaid. |
| Revenue (paid) | The total of paid patient invoices. |
The table lists File, Name, Phone, DOB, Gender, Blood and Nationality. A new patient captures a full name (required), phone, date of birth, gender, blood group, nationality and free-text notes for allergies or chronic conditions. Each patient is given a file number automatically, P-0001, P-0002 and so on. Deleting a patient also removes their encounters, appointments and invoices.
The patient profile
Open a patient at /patients/{id} (breadcrumb Clinic · Patients · Profile). The header shows their age, gender and blood group and a facts card (file number, date of birth, phone, nationality), with New encounter and Create invoice actions. Four tiles count Encounters, Upcoming visits, Unpaid invoices and Revenue (paid), and four tabs organise the record:
| Tab | Contents |
|---|---|
| Overview | The latest encounter, the next appointment and a billing summary (invoices, unpaid, outstanding, paid to date), plus clinical notes when set. |
| Encounters | One card per visit with the date and practitioner, presenting complaint, diagnosis, the vitals row, the prescription table and the note. |
| Appointments | This patient's appointments with date, time, practitioner, reason and status. |
| Invoices | Patient invoices with date, items, total and status, with Mark paid on the unpaid ones. |
Encounters and vitals
New encounter opens a clinical form: the date, the practitioner, a vitals row of Blood pressure, Pulse (bpm), Temperature (°C) and Weight (kg), a Presenting complaint, a Diagnosis, a Prescription table (Drug, Dose, Frequency, Days) and free-text notes. At least a complaint, diagnosis or note is needed to save.
Patient invoices
Create invoice builds a quick bill from line items (a Consultation line is prefilled) with a live total, saved as Unpaid; Mark paid flips it to Paid and feeds the revenue tiles. These are lightweight patient bills rather than full FTA tax invoices. When a patient or insurer needs a formal tax invoice, raise it against a customer in Invoicing.
Appointments
Open Appointments from the sidebar, or go to /appointments(breadcrumb Clinic · Appointments, subtitle Book, complete and cancel patient appointments). Four tiles count Today, Scheduled, Completed and Cancelled. A Table and Day toggle switches the view.
The Day view is a day calendar: pick a date with the arrows, the date picker or Today, and that day's appointments appear as a time-sorted list, each row showing the time, the patient, the practitioner and reason, and a status. Appointments move through Scheduled, Completed and Cancelled; scheduled rows have one-tap mark-complete and cancel controls. A New appointment books a patient with a date, time, practitioner and reason, starting as Scheduled (you must add a patient first).
Practitioners
Below the calendar, a Practitioners card manages your clinicians with their name, speciality and phone, used to populate the practitioner picker on encounters and appointments. Load sample seeds a few to start with.
Seeing a patient end to end

Add the patient on the Patients page; they get a file number automatically.
- Book the visit
Create an appointment with a date, time and practitioner; it shows on the day calendar.

- Bill the visit
Create a patient invoice from the profile and mark it paid when settled.
Many healthcare services in the UAE are zero-rated or exempt from VAT, so patient bills here stay simple. Where a formal, VAT-treated tax invoice is required (for an insurer or a standard rated service), raise it in Invoicing and keep dispensed medicine stock in Items and inventory.
